Hopscotch Kelowna
6,000+ Attendees / Whisky Enthusiasts
NEW MANAGEMENT: Hopscotch is now a part of the ‘FEASTER’ Family!
Feaster is a Vancouver based company specializing in the production and marketing of all things food and drink. With 40+ years of production, over 100+ F&B events produced and in excess of 50,000 attendees each year to its f&b tasting events, there is no better team than Feaster to help VCBW continue to be the best event for breweries to showcase their beer at.
After long discussions with the HOPSCOTCH founders, it was agreed upon (between them and Feaster) to continue in the traditions that have made HOPSCOTCH the esteemed event that it has become. Although changes will be implemented to be able to produce HOPSCOTCH in a sustainable way, most of what HOPSCOTCH was (before the change) will remain the same.

Why Participate?
It is the alcoholic sales medium. It exists for brewers and distillers to meet the city’s top decision makers from restaurants and liquor stores. It is the place to find their products shelf space and/or a restaurant tap. as well, Hopscotch exists to promote the exhibiting products to those who love to enjoy alcoholic beverages. There is no better way to promote beverages than hand to mouth, and Hopscotch is the best place to do this. Hopscotch celebrates the similarities and nuances of each individual whisky, beer and spirit, while connecting dedicated flavour connoisseurs to the alcoholic beverage portfolios of distilleries, breweries and import agencies.
How it Works?
- STEP 1 Exhibitor purchasers a booth
- STEP 2HOPSCOTCH purchases Whisky from exhibitor (on consignment)
- STEP 3 Exhibitors present their Whisky to guests for them to sip, taste, sample & learn about
- STEP 4 Guests purchase their samples from Exhibitors using their cashless, RFID wristband
- STEP 5 Vendors leave happy knowing they have acquired (potentially) thousands of new customers and attendees leave happy knowing they have found the new breweries they will be supporting this year
What it Costs?
Prices are applicable for both shows. Must register a separate booth for each city. All booths come with pipe and drape, trade tickets to invite industry accounts and public tickets to invite friends / family / contest winners / customers.

All registered booths must either supply their own tent or rent one (for a nominal fee) from the HOPSCOTCH tent supplier. Exhibitors are responsible for their own tables, linens or anything they want to have at their booth. Power is available via the show supplier.

Why choose Hopscotch?
1. LIBATIONS
Live music, tastings, man-cave style entertainment, and so much more. We’re not into pretentiousness and we love to keep things fun.
2. FUN
Hopscotch is FUN. When guests are enjoying themselves, they have a much more positive conection to the brands they taste and enjoy. This results in an increase in post-event sales.
3. SELL PRODUCT
With an onsite liquor store guests can now leave with purchased bottles in hand. There was $35k in Vancouver sales in 2019.
4. CHARITY
Part of the proceeds of this fest go to The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund.
5. EXPERIENCE
We’ve been the largest libations festival in BC for over 20 years and it’s taught us a thing or two. Most importantly, it has taught us to evolve. You have to move forward to be in front. Hopscotch 2021 represents our next evolution.
6. TRADE
180+ exhibitors are bound to attract the best industry members. Known as the best trade event in Canada, more decisions on bar well and store shelf selection are decided at Hopscotch than anywhere else. This is the place to secure accounts.
7. COMMUNITY
We partner with multiple local industry associations to help foster community between Vancouver’s makers.
8. LIFESTYLE
We partner with a wide variety of complementary lifestyle brands to co-elevate them and expand our guests horizons.
9. ANTI-TRADESHOW
We’re big, but not boring. We create a vibe that generates authentic connections between people and your brand.
10. BANG FOR BUCK
Hopscotch is bang for your buck marketing. Guests attend to have a great time and learn about the products that they are tasting. If they wanted to “just drink”, they would stay home or go to their local watering hole. They attend to sip, taste, sample and learn. Dollar for dollar, there is no better way to promote than glass to mouth.
EXHIBITOR TICKETS
Each booth will warrant complimentary tickets to both the public and industry event (Vancouver). They will be e-mailed to each exhibiting company a couple weeks before the event.
EXHIBITOR BADGES
Each booth will be given 3 exhibitor passes for working staff. These passes will be valid for all Grand Tasting Hall events for the respective show. Passes will be given out upon exhibitor check-in on Thursday/Friday before the events begin.
SAMPLING TOKENS/SALES
All booths must provide samples available to be purchased with the “tasting token”. Hopscotch is presently in the process of converting the event into one that does not have physical tokens. More details will follow regarding this. No cash is to be accepted for samples. Sampling tokens will be sold for $1 by the festival’s staff in increments of 5. Exhibitors are to decide how many tokens their sampled product will cost within the festival. Alcoholic samples are to be the following sizes: Beer & Coolers: 2 – 2.5oz, Spirits: 0.5oz. Provincial law dictates these quantities and compliance is mandatory. Event Management will remit $0.35 back to the exhibitor for each redeemed token submitted for remittance. Token remittances include tax and will be mailed within approximately twenty-one business days after the close of the festival.
SAMPLED PRODUCT
Normal ‘Special Event Permit’ purchasing rules apply at these events. All product that will be sampled at these events must be purchased from a BCLDB retail liquor store, BCLDB store 100, or for product produced in BC, have a Doc 60.
INSURANCE
Each exhibiting company Exhibitor must obtain, at its own expense, a minimum of $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance including liquor liability, product liability and contractual liability coverages, and file with Hopscotch Management a Certificate evidencing such coverage naming “Hopscotch Productions, Inc.” as additional insureds. Such Certificate shall be filed with festival management no later than 30 days before the festival date and shall provide festival management with a minimum of 30 days prior written notice of cancellation or material change or non-renewal of the Exhibitor’s policy. Use of the phrase “endeavour to send” in such notice will not be accepted.
This should not carry any additional cost to your company. We encourage each exhibitor to copy and paste the latter paragraph and send it to his or her insurance broker so the certificate is exactly as needed.
